Design of the rapid charge point station

This activity will investigate EV station structure designs to assess their feasibility, capabilities and costs. This activity will explore a range of scenarios from the design stage right through to the overall management of the structures if they were to be incorporated into particular sites.

The first stage of this activity is to investigate design options for the stations and in particular look at the opportunities and benefits of incorporating sustainable solutions such as solar canopies. Electric and technical specifications will then be investigated to ensure stations are compliant with legislation and legal requirements.

The work will go onto outline the business case for such structures including the business model and the ongoing management and maintenance which would be required at each potential site.
